ストリートにしても、ポートレートにしても
映ったものは、あくまでも未知なる問いへの入り口でしかない
シグナルをキャッチした
ここから自分の「感覚」を信じて被写体からのメッセージを紐解いていく
I release the shutter.
I had a “feeling” that I wanted to click the shutter.
Whether it is a street or a portrait
What you see is only a gateway to an unknown question
I caught the signal.
From this point on, I trust my “senses” and try to unravel the message from the subject.

Dialogue with photographic reality
写し込まれた現実は、見る者の価値観や感性で幾通りの表現を持つ
それだけでも十分な意味を持つ
しかし、そこには隠されたメッセーがあるのではないか
切り取られたフレームの中だからこそ、現実の一瞬を切り取ったからこそ伝わってくるメッセージがある
写真との対話が始まる
The reality captured on film can be expressed in any number of ways, depending on the values and sensibilities of the viewer.
That alone is meaningful enough.
However, there must be a hidden message in it.
There is a message that is conveyed precisely because it is within a cropped frame, precisely because it captures a moment of reality.
A dialogue with the photograph begins.
写真は自分との対話だ
Photography is a dialogue with myself.
対話とは続けるもの
Dialogue should be continued.
写真と対話するたびに新たな発見がある
新たな可能性が見えてくる
問いを立てて、答えを構想する
そして、新しい自分を知ることができる
この対話は決して終わることがない
Every time I interact with a photograph, I discover something new.
New possibilities emerge.
Formulate questions and conceptualize answers.
And I get to know myself anew.
This dialogue never ends.
